I Don’t Want to Walk Alone

holding-handsBeside me I feel your presence soft gentle breathes sound in the air. If I close my eyes I can almost pretend you are not there.

In the busy streets I can’t hear you walk beside me, the clamour of the city drowns your footsteps out, and whilst it is so loud, isolation washes over me. If I hold your hand, I know you are really there.

Before I met you, I liked to walk alone, now I know how it feels to walk beside someone.
