I would like to thank Matt, at A Standard Issued Life, for this challenge. You should head over and check out his poetry, you will be impressed!
The Quote:ย
It is the life of the crystal, the architect of the flake, the fire of the frost, the soul of the sunbeam.
This crisp winter air is full of it. ~John Burroughs, “Winter Sunshine.”
My Poem:
Sunbeams reach out on crisp morning dew,
Spreads her wings and lights the undergrowth of June,
The sun and frost collide and mist the trees,
Tears weep at windy shores,
Short breathes,
Condensation graces the air,
No other words to describe,
The way winters day leaves me breathless in the shade.
My nominees for Day 1 are:
Sometimes Silver Linings Are Blue
