Snow Fairy

snow fairyA touch of snow,

Tiptoes lightly,

Across the brow,

Of ruffled fringe,

Tangled and cold,

The tears weep,

Down my cheek,

Shaping crystals,

Of icy droplets,

In this moment,

Of physical beauty,

Of time beyond reproach,

Of eyes lingering on snow caps,

Of eagles gliding,

A Snow fairy slips from the skies,

In misty air, of fallen breath,

Guided by the wind,

A little fairy shaken,

Silent and forsaken,

On earth she befalls,

Across the woodlands of white snow,

Brown and tan,

Descended from the heavens,

I carry my little snow fairy in hand.
