Muse

MUSEMy muses gather round,

In soft cloaks of sound,

Silk and jewels adorn the neck,

My epic loves,

In sacred song,

They twine,

Dreamy, abstract,

Deep and floating,

Before my eyes,

Disrobed and exhibited,

The goddesses of poetry spill from lips of gracious expression,

In the beauty of words written,

In ink of black veil,

Draw together centuries of time.
