Rapunzel, Rapunzel

Her hair lay,
Bare,
Over shoulders of lily snow,
Of vanilla cream and coconut palm,
Shifting and flowing across her breasts,
Gracefully she sleeps,

Awaiting the dawn,
In fragranced breath,
Of honeydew and lavender kiss,
She, who waits, in the window,
High on tower stilts,
A pillar of confinement,
Framed in a box,

Rapunzel, Rapunzel,
Let down your golden hair,
Of sun, and luminosity,
A bird caged, lost,

Rapunzel chopped off her locks,
Threaded to the bedpost,
Escaped the walls of imprisonment,

Prince, beckoned to Rapunzel,
But she was already gone.
