Mauve Twilight

Under a blackened sky,
In twisted light,
On a clouded grey night,
Teardrops fall,
In sorrowful drops,
Raining in,
Flooding the river and streams,
Spring flowers droop,
Under the mauve twilight,
The moon cast behind the hazy plight,
Her legs dangle above the river run,
Toes plunging into misty waters and drowning cries,
Veiled in black lace,
Lips dressed in red wine to taste,
He, beside her, in the rain,
Drinking heavens tears,
They wait.
