My heart,
In forgotten breath,
Harrowed by the wind,
Once a maiden,
In the garden,
Weaving flowers through her hair,
Thick and course,
Flowing curls,
Lacing sunlight through wisps of straw,
Eyes like a string of pearls,
Silver and cream,
Staring at the little elm tree,
Hair and flowers draped across shoulders of silk,
My hands ran the line of her back,
She kissed my mouth,
Open and wanting,
Little buds opened in bloom,
In the garden,
Her shadows dance,
The flowers continue to wake,
Our love lost,
Her heart in forgotten breath,
Harrowed by the winds; wildflowers clasped at my chest.
Beautiful!
