Ripe On Your Tongue

You’ll taste it,
Sour on your tongue,
Bite, peel back skin,
Basin and emporium faucet,
Blood contrite,
Staining,
Saturation, of urban-ness,
Diffusing the wick,
Burrow down to the core,
Drapery folds,
One hollow eye and bowstring travail,
Wreathed into a circle, undiluted and young,
Amorphous, A sable veil and a vow, to chain,
Vended and peddled and shun,
You’ll taste it,
Ripe on your tongue.
