Corpse Flower

In wounds,
Open and stretching,
Brazed beyond the scabs,
Welt and weal,
Stripes and swell,
Mulberry red shells,
A corpse flower and a dried dwell,
Desiccated and shrivelled,
A frame of petals and bud,
Overgrown,
A skeleton walking on dawn,
Outlined by the burning sun,
Bounded to the ties, grasping the wrists,
Joints and junctures,
Indirection, forced rejection,
Dismissed in the game of love.

  1. I am not quite sure what to say. It is beautifully crafted and had this melody as I read through it. In my mind I saw both erotic images and others and it left me feeling both sad, yet at peace
