The Mind is not advanced enough to understand her beauty
She is part of a species unknown to us
Have I done enough in my life?
For my eyes to have the privilege of witnessing her aura.
I hope that she never experiences sadness
If so,
Then my hand could caress her cheek
So that her tears would collected in the palm of my hand
And become absorbed by my skin instead of hers.

Isn’t that what love entails?

Absorbing each other’s pain?

She has scars and stretch marks, dark circles and frown lines.
Her scars cradle her experiences, they grapple onto me and show me that she is not damaged, she is authentic.
The stretches on her skin have formed parallel to her evolving delicacy.
Those dark circles remind me of how opaque love can be,
But also show me, that in the centre of darkness lie her graceful…
