We Will Rise

Under chandelier skies,
Stars of dust,
Shards in the night,
Clouded and broken,
Fractured light,
Below, Parisians weep,
Tears fall,
Silver threads,
Drip down the face of a nation,
The world reels.
On the dawn,
Under the light of day,
Brilliant rays of metallic, brass and copper tones,
Love will wrap her veil around our shoulders,
Draw us in,
Blanketed under the warmth of love,
The sun will shine, even on the darkest day,
We will rise.

In the wake of the terrible events in Paris I have been reading the beautiful messages of hope, love and compassion from my fellow bloggers and yet, my own words lost.

Today I sat down at my computer, and the words spilt forth, in tears and sorrow. My words only a small band-aid on the pain the world is feeling.

Yet, I know, we as a community, a people of compassion and love. Fear and hatred will be overridden and we will prevail.

We will rise again.

Let The Story Be Told

Today I began writing my novel. After months of procrastination and self doubt; on genre, style and story line.

Questioning my story and asking should I start over?

My inspiration has been restored. Thanks to my WordPress friends.

After this mornings post I change my mind so often I exhaust myself. On the writing process and self doubt.

The wonderful advice and tips from my WordPress community blew me away. To know that I’m not alone, and we as writers experience self doubt or times of uncertainty in our writing really helped me to rethink and motivate my writing.

You guys are amazing! Thank you for your support.

I starting writing my novel again and I’m absolutely loving where its going!

“The cloak unveiled. Underneath the thick material, the beautiful face revealed. Even though the room is dim and her face is shadowed. There is no mistaking the face of her mother.”

(J.Calvert, Chapter 10.)
