Dark Dream

I had a dark dream
The world was amiss,
An abyss of thrown remiss,
Broken and fractured,
Monsters lurked,
Beneath the lucidness,
Leviathans, below the sea,
The skies, rife with creatures in flight,

In my dream, the lights went out,
The world in darkness,
The earth was just dirt,
And grime,

I came across an undergrowth,
In the middle of an empty field,
I pulled back the leaves,
Opening a place beyond the trees,

A space,
Of imaginations,
Of fantasy,
I squeezed through,
Passed from darkness to light,
My foot snared,
Caught by vines,
Suspended between day and night.

A goddess of the forest,
Slipping through time,
Leaves of gold and olive stem,
Swathed in ferns and fronds,
Covering delicately,
Hair of midnight velvet,
Falling gently over bare breast,
A moonlight paddle over tides of steel-blue,
To the water’s edge of pine silhouette  and murky depth,
Of hazy morning mist,
To greet our spellbound sight,
On the banks of the shore,
There she moves under the sun,
Cascades of light drenching her body,
Dazzling the creature of the forest,
Fawn and fallow,
Hare and fox,
Tread alongside,
Black velvet Unicorns canter by,
Here on the mossy floor of golden green awe,
In pillowed thought,
In tiptoed breath,
In dreams of brightly coloured caress,
That is where I will find,
The spirit of Artemis.

In Heavens Fair Breathe

In heavens fair breathe,

In feathers and fragranced night flowers,

Of sleeping clouds,

Moon of harvest,

Sweeping black birds

And winged angels,

In heavens fair breathe,

The wind left,

The spark of bluebirds eyes,

Disappeared into the skies,

The time of truth,

Vanished with you,

Eyes shut,

Wide awake,

Teardrops cascade,

Fall upon earth’s jaded face,

Fountains and lakes,

Sleeping beside,

In starlight night,

In heavens fair breathe.
