Don’t lose sight of your dreams

Life is busy and we all get stuck in the cycle of life, just don’t forget to take time to remember and reflect on your dreams…it’s important not to lose sight of what it is you want to achieve.

Don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t or it’s too hard. Follow your own path and if it gets hard, take time out to reflect on ways you can further yourself. I think we’re all so busy just surviving our days, that we often don’t allow time for reflection. Even if it’s 30 minutes a day, that you can dedicate to working towards your dreams, do it. Once you start aligning yourself with your visions and hopes, things will start coming into fruition.

Be authentic

Follow your dreams

Believe that anything is possible.

That no matter, how much someone tells you, you can’t achieve something, for whatever reason, that you can. I want to prove this not only for myself but for my children and other’s. After all we all have the power within us to achieve our dreams.

Exciting New’s

jump inI have some very exciting news to share with everyone. I’ve just began an Author Mentorship program, with a local book publisher, author, speaker and mentor, Ocean Reeve Publishing

I’m so excited to start working with an inspirational creative. It took me a long time to start this and I was umming and ahhing about it for many months, not because I didn’t want to do it but because I was afraid, afraid of failure. What if I’m no good?

I have two young daughters, 1 and 4 so time and funds came into it too. Lets be honest. Money plays a big part in our lives.

I’m a quiet person, so I knew this program would push me out of my comforty comfort zone…but what pushed me into starting the program, was my passion, for writing, it’s what I want to more then anything and I will do what it takes to achieve my dreams and goals. So I will ask questions later, for now I am so confident that taking this step is aligned with my best interests and it will open a door to my dreams coming true.

I’ve recently finished writing a YA Fantasy manuscript, and look forward to publishing it within the year!

So, if something is holding you back today, take time to really question what it is? Whether that be money, time, fear, etc and consider whether, you will allow these constraints to hold you back? Or will you reflect on steps you can take to achieve your goals.

Dark Dream

I had a dark dream
The world was amiss,
An abyss of thrown remiss,
Broken and fractured,
Monsters lurked,
Beneath the lucidness,
Leviathans, below the sea,
The skies, rife with creatures in flight,

In my dream, the lights went out,
The world in darkness,
The earth was just dirt,
And grime,

I came across an undergrowth,
In the middle of an empty field,
I pulled back the leaves,
Opening a place beyond the trees,

A space,
Of imaginations,
Of fantasy,
I squeezed through,
Passed from darkness to light,
My foot snared,
Caught by vines,
Suspended between day and night.

Poppy Seed Yellow

Stepping across a pathway of flowers and silken petals, of stems and soft buds, thorns and needle pins, colours and hues of summer kiss, poppy seed yellow and aqua blue, a pathway of artistic dreams and visual fantasy, a place far beyond dreams.

Gypsy’s Rainbow Wand

Amazing photo by

Amazing photo by ladylunaboutique

In brassy boots of leather and hide,
Of fields of meadow and bunting skies,
Under marble arch and rainbow wands,
Freedom lingers on,
And Gypsy meanders on,
Over sun filled orchard blooms and rose velvet nights,
Across starry lights,
And teardrops highlights,
To kiss the sweetest mouth, lips of apple crush,
Lemon and lime sip,
Under the spell of springtime bliss,
A lore of remissness,
Of thyme and honey infused,
Of courage instilled,
She walks through a garden of myrtle and moss,
Steady she steps across.

A goddess of the forest,
Slipping through time,
Leaves of gold and olive stem,
Swathed in ferns and fronds,
Covering delicately,
Hair of midnight velvet,
Falling gently over bare breast,
A moonlight paddle over tides of steel-blue,
To the water’s edge of pine silhouette  and murky depth,
Of hazy morning mist,
To greet our spellbound sight,
On the banks of the shore,
There she moves under the sun,
Cascades of light drenching her body,
Dazzling the creature of the forest,
Fawn and fallow,
Hare and fox,
Tread alongside,
Black velvet Unicorns canter by,
Here on the mossy floor of golden green awe,
In pillowed thought,
In tiptoed breath,
In dreams of brightly coloured caress,
That is where I will find,
The spirit of Artemis.

I’ll Write Your Name In The Sky, In Bold Brassy Letters

In the sky I will write your name,

In bold brassy letters,

The world will see,

The stars shall shine,

The words from above,

The moon will light your way,

The sun to brighten your day,

I’ll make a wish under the stars,

I’ll wish for you my love.image

Dreams Into Reality

I say I am stronger than fear. Malala Yousafzai

I’m so frightened of change. I’m stuck, in a rut. I can’t breathe, it’s pulling me down. It hurts my soul. I know I’m destined for bigger things.
I feel like life has so many opportunities out there for me and I have a hundred different scenarios and ideas in my head, but I can’t seem to bring them to life. It appears I’m more of an idea’s person.
How do I bring my ideas into reality? My goals are to become an author, published. That’s what I want. But my busy schedule gets in the way, and I feel like my dream is just been pushed further and further away. I can feel it there, so close, yet it is so far away.
Do I reach out as far as I can and grab it with both hands and hold on to it for dear life? Is that what I have to do to make my dreams become reality?

Where Does Lost Love Go?

Lost love floats in the breeze,

Twirls and catches on trees,

The branches grasp it,

The leaves to cocoon,

The sunshine warms,

The night air passes over,

It begins to cool,

Lost love drifts down to the ground,

Into the damp earth,

It sinks,

Buried below the surface,

Lost love resides.
